Event: DoHo Great Aloha Run 5K

I am volunteering freely for the DoHo Great Aloha Run and related activities. I understand that volunteer service is unpaid and does not create an employment relationship or provide wages, employee benefits, or workers’ compensation coverage.

Assumption of Risk: I understand that volunteering may involve risks, including walking or standing for extended periods, lifting or carrying supplies, assisting participants or spectators, exposure to weather, traffic, crowds, uneven surfaces, equipment, and other event conditions. I voluntarily assume all risks of injury, illness, property damage, or loss related to my participation.

Release of Liability: To the fullest extent permitted by law, I release and agree not to sue the event organizers, sponsors, partners, officers, directors, employees, agents, contractors, volunteers, successors, and assigns from claims, damages, losses, costs, or expenses arising from my volunteer participation, except where prohibited by law.

Medical Authorization: If I become injured or ill during volunteer service and cannot consent, I authorize event representatives to obtain emergency medical assistance for me. I understand that I am responsible for any related medical costs.

Media Release: I permit photographs, video, audio, or other recordings of me taken during the event to be used for promotional, educational, archival, or informational purposes without compensation, unless I notify organizers in writing before volunteering that I do not consent.

Rules and Minor Consent: I agree to follow event rules, safety instructions, assignments, and directions from event staff or volunteer leaders. If the volunteer is under 18, a parent or legal guardian must sign and agree to these terms on the minor’s behalf.

Acknowledgment: I have read this waiver, understand that it affects legal rights, and sign voluntarily.
