COVID-19 Updates

Dear Great Aloha Run Ohana,

We hope you, your family, and your friends are well and healthy.
So much has happened since our 36th Annual Hawaii Pacific Health Great Aloha Run. It has been 2 years since the start of the Pandemic, and we are more than thrilled to be returning to an in-person event in 2023.

Despite the challenges we continued to face in 2022, the Hawaii Pacific Health Great Aloha Run persevered and with your help, we were able to support over 30 charity organizations, and primary and high school programs in Hawaii with awards totaling more than $72,000. This would never have been possible without the support from our wonderful sponsors and participants.

The Hawaii Pacific Health Great Aloha Run’s only purpose is to support nonprofits that serve our Hawaii community. Since 1985, we have provided more than $15.5 million dollars of support and hope to continue this as we look toward the future.

Please continue to stay safe, respect each other’s space by social distancing, and always remember the importance of showing ALOHA for one another.

We will keep this page updated with the newest information about how COVID-19 impacts our races in 2023.

Mahalo,
The Hawaii Pacific Health Great Aloha Run Ohana

2023 Plans – Accurate as of July 1, 2022

With the continued uncertainty of the demolition and re-build of our finish line, the Aloha Stadium, it has been a huge undertaking to coordinate a new, in-person course and finish line.

After discussions with our city, state, and private entities, it was determined that utilizing the existing, approved course and finishing in the exterior of the Aloha Stadium was the only solution.

As we begin plans for an in-person event, we invite the community and our friends from around the world (who can still participate virtually) to continue to support the Great Aloha Run in 2023.
