more than just a run

Our Vision

Ke Kukini Me Ke Aloha Pau‘ole expresses the essence of the Kaiser Permanente Great Aloha Run (GAR). More than 20,000 participants, young and old, our dedicated volunteers, and many charitable organizations are touched by this event each year. Each of us is enriched in many ways. LIVE ALOHA — The GAR Way!

Aloha3

A for the Aloha Spirit; the giving and sharing which we send to all who join us in the GAR experience, whether they be from here or outside our beautiful state. L for “Lima Kokua” or helping hands. The spirit of cooperation and working together raises hundreds of thousands of dollars each year for our community. O for “‘Ohana” or sense of family. The event brings together families, friends, businesses, and church groups. The support from local corporations, government agencies, media, and the military all represent the sense of ‘ohana. H for Hawaii is the Health State and GAR promotes health and wellness throughout the year. A for Alliance. The camaraderie and friendship that have grown between the military and civilian communities in Hawaii is a source of great pride.
